A 67-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday morning in a collision with an SUV in Cicero, deputies said.
Steven Burgwin, of Cicero, died around 9 a.m. when his motorcycle collided with an SUV on South Bay Road near Whiting Road, according to Thomas Newton, an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
Burgwin was headed north on the road when he collided with the SUV coming from the opposite direction, he said.
Burgwin died at the scene.
The sheriff’s office refused to identify the SUV driver. Newton said the name will be released if tickets are issued.
How the accident happened is still being investigated and,at this time, the SUV driver has not been given any tickets, Newton said.
