Trevor Davis: 34-year-old killed after crashing into a tree in Aiken County
A driver is dead after hitting a tree in Aiken County Tuesday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables identified 34-year-old Trevor Davis as the victim.
Authorities say the collision occurred around 5:20 a.m. on Old Barnwell Road near Candlewood Road.
A Ford was traveling south on Old Barnwell Road when it went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, according to authorities.
Authorities say the driver died at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Aiken County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the collision.
