Riley Bennett, Rock Island Craftsman’s Unexpected Death Sparks Mourning

Riley Bennett, founder and CEO of Rock Island Il’s custom woodwork and laser engraving outfit, Riley’s Reclaimed, has tragically passed away.

Bennett’s death was announced by distraught friends who were gut punched with by the tragic news. Bennett is believed to have passed away in an accident.

The Rock Island Il native was a great friend, Demi Bordeaux, who had known him since High School said.

According to her, he was always making people happy with his presence and great wit.

Bordeaux, in a post mourning Riley on Facebook, said she was flabbergasted with the news that he has actually died.

“I really don’t understand.. I’ll never understand this is not the news I wanted to wake up to today, Riley,” she said. “…You had a huge light about you that I’ve never came across before, you exude GREAT energy almost always, funny AS F*CK, just an all around great person that I will miss dearly,”

A similar tribute was shared by Jamie Richardson, mom of two of Riley’s best friends.

“He was so funny and so incredibly sweet! I thought he was so quiet but then I would sit by him and he would have me cracking up! He came to many of Braiden’s games, showed up for Addisyn and Karissa birthdays too, and of course was always at big life events for the girls or small ones! He was quiet but so kind and I love that he always gave me a hug too…I am just sad sad that he is gone so young,” Richardson wrote.

Riley Bennett ran his own business in his hometown of Rock Island.

Riley’s Reclaimed provided custom woodwork and laser engraving and was decently patronized.

In a post shared less than a week ago, Bennett thanked his friends and clients for choosing his business over the giant corporations they could have gone with like Walmart and Target.

“Y’all are picking up what I’m putting downnnn, some of you are getting such cool Christmas gifts that I personally made and that is so awesome to me✏️✨ #shoplocal,” he wrote in a post shared to his personal Facebook account.
